From email #1- I knew these Aly + Ben were the real deal. The sweet, uplifting words they spoke about one another and the kindness they radiated (even from the interwebs) was enough to have me hooked. I have never had such a detailed questionnaire filled out. Ever. And I loved it so so much. I felt like I got to know them before I even met them. I honestly could go on and on about these two, but I feel like they tell their story better than me. So here are a couple q’s from their questionnaire.
Which attributes did each of you fall in love with first?
Aly: He is incredibly kind, caring and compassionate. He truly sees the best in people and in life. He wants to do the best he can at everything he does and he gives it his all. He’s also incredibly fun and reminds me not to take myself or life too seriously.
Ben: I fell in love with how confident Aly is in her identity being in Jesus. I never got the vibe that she felt the need to “prove” herself to me, either. She knew who she was and what she does. Confidence is sexy. She is full of determination and discipline. I also admire her dedication to loving people well. I felt relaxed around her. I mean, I was nervous in the sense that I liked her, but I ALWAYS felt like I could just be myself, good, bad, & ugly, and never felt judged by her. I picked her up from the airport January 5th, and from the moment she got in the car and as we started catching up a bit from the hard semester prior – I felt as though she was holding my hand and supporting me even though we really didn’t know a whole lot about each other. That’s just the vibe I got, which was so refreshing.
What’re you most looking forward to on your wedding day?
Aly: Honestly I am just so excited to be married!! Not having to say goodbye at the end of the night or stay up until the early hours of the morning so we can be together is so exciting. Other than that, I am looking forward to having all of our friends and family together and getting ready for events with my friends has always been one of my favorite things!
Ben: Seeing Aly walk down the aisle and know I am entering a marriage where I will be loved and cared for in a way I’ve never experienced before. Having confidence in trusting that she will care for my heart in that moment.
