Aria Minneapolis Fall Wedding

Katie & Ely. A couple whose love story is straight out of a movie. They met when they were both traveling solo through Europe. They were first roommates in a hostel in Athens, but really got to know each other when they accidentally bumped into each other again in Santorini a few days later. Funny how life puts us in the places we’re meant to be. Clearly, that accidental meeting wasn’t the end of their story. It was only the beginning. They’ve spent a great deal of the past few years together traveling the world, seeing new places, trying new foods & meeting amazing people. They have a dream to someday open a little restaurant with a unique changing menu (Ely is a chef!!) and of course continue traveling the world.

Katie is originally from Minnesota, so they decided to come back to this wonderful state to commit their lives to one another. The wedding took place in Minneapolis on a somewhat chilly September day. The day was such a beautiful expression of their love for one another (& for their families & friends). Before the “traditional” ceremony— they held an Egyptian ceremony (Ely is originally from Egypt!) & it was truly so incredible to witness & document. They brought in other elements of the Egyptian culture into their day as well— a belly dancer being one! SO freaking amazing. I love when couples create a day that reflects their personalities, cultures, interests, etc. It makes the day unique & even more special.

Katie & Ely, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your favorite day & for trusting me in documenting these memories for you. Y’all are the best. Can’t wait to keep up with all of your adventures.
