An engagement shoot that starts with a rainbow & ends with a dip in Lake Superior is out of some sort of dream (& has to be good luck, right?). But for real— Susanna & Hunter had barely gotten out of the car & we’d hardly said 5 words before the rainbow appeared. We all know rainbows don’t last forever, so no messing around— we just dove right in. Nothing like breaking the ice by tossing you into the fire right outta the gate. 😉 They clearly didn’t need a warm-up.
The rainbow slowly faded from the sky as we explored the insanely beautiful cliffs of Palisade Head (Minnesota, you’re sooo beautiful!!). Not long after— we were blessed with yet another rainbow. Not sure what we did to get so lucky, but not complaining about it. We finished up the shoot on the shoreline of Lake Superior. And what’s a shoot at Lake Superior if you don’t get in?? Susanna & Hunter willingly splashed around in the lake. They warmed up after by snuggling up in a blanket made by Hunter’s grandpa, who used to sew parachutes as part of his military service. He would also make aprons & blankets for people & Hunter was one of the lucky recipients of a hand-made blanket. Soooo stinkin’ cool. I love things that have meaning like that. And I loved everything about this shoot & these two sweet souls. 🙂
