Charlene & Craig & their Pacific Northwest engagement session. ✨✨ I’ve been waiiiting to share these sweet souls & the magic we created together in Washington this past August. I cannot even put this shoot into words. It was so inspiring exploring the beautiful terrain of a place I’d never been. Beyond that, Charlene & Craig were such an amazing couple to get to know— there is an ease about being around them that was such a welcome feeling. They have a ton of love for the outdoors— so much so, that they quit their jobs & took this past summer off to road trip the western US. Their route has taken them through several national parks and iconic rock-climbing spots (which is one of their passions). 

Charlene & Craig wanted their engagement session to feel fun & adventurous, but still quaint & intimate. With this in mind, the tiny little town of Index, WA (population 173) was the perfect location for them. We explored the forest in the area & then finished up the session along the Skykomish River with the Cascade Mountains as a backdrop. SO. BEAUTIFUL. ✨ I’m ready to go back already. It was a magical adventure, indeed! 🙏

Also, when Charlene inquired with me— she wrote some words about what drew her to my work & it made my heart flutter. I have to share because her description is my exact goal when it comes to photographing love— “I love that your photos feel earthy, nostalgic, and slow. It’s like I can hear a record playing in the background as people spin around in slow motion. Somehow you find moments that go by so fast in real life, but you grab them and slow them down so the viewer can see it for how it felt.” ✨🥺
