Minneapolis Urban Wedding Photographer | Shelby & Zac

I met Shelby & Zac at Zac’s sister’s wedding a few years ago, so when they reached out for me to photograph their wedding I was so excited. They’re such a sweet couple & I knew it would be fun to work with them. Before we get into the wedding, I want to share a little bit about how they met & their story (in Shelby’s words):

“We met at UND freshman year, when we moved into our dorm. It all started after a hockey game on a Friday night. Zac helped me with my Chemistry homework and then we watched a movie together. The very next day we went to the Saturday hockey game together with a couple friends and that was our first “unofficial” date! Zac & I have been together since December 31st, 2013. We love to be together and do anything and everything together. We love to spend time with our families and go out with our friends! One of our favorite places to be is at the lake and out on the boat. We also love to cuddle up on the couch watching Marvel movies, Friends, major league fishing, or pretty much whatever’s on tv. We are just looking forward to living our lives together, buying our first home and being roomies forever, starting a family soon, and hopefully having a lake place of our own in the future.”

Their wedding day was nothing short of amazing. It was held at Minneapolis Event Centers this past November. Shelby rocked a killlller ponytail and now I think all brides should rock a ponytail. 😉 But on a more serious note— their day was truly special. It was full of so many sweet little moments. Like Shelby’s first look with her dad & then her uncle, Zac reading his letter from Shelby, the way they looked at each other during their first look, the first dances, the list goes on. It was the perfect day and I feel so grateful to have gotten the chance to document it. Now get scrolling to check out their special day.
